8号公路从Omarama到LakePukaki，沿途有好几家SalmonFarm，招牌也大同小异，攻略上颇受好评的一家是HighCountrySalmon，养殖场门口可以停车。简易的渔场颇具规模，湖中围起几十个池塘，有木板通道相连，部分池塘覆盖着大片黑色网兜，可能这里养着鱼苗，黑不溜秋的三文鱼不停地游来游去，看上去都肥肥壮壮的。这里号称南岛最好吃的三文鱼，前台售卖柜台是一个来自台湾的小伙子，服务很周到，详细介绍三文鱼挑选方式，屋内一侧冰柜存放着秀色可餐的Salmon，都是现杀现卖，十分新鲜，价格按三文鱼的部位而定，中段部分价格最高，每一包基本在30NZD左右，边尾部分便宜多了，整条没有加工过三文鱼64NZD，非常合算。扒皮的三文鱼，片片橙红色，有芥末更好吃，不过需另买，1NZD小蝶，,咖啡3NZD，味噌汤2.5NZD，蘸上芥末酱油，还可以投喂三文鱼，鱼食在柜台处，自取即可。
